As one of my favorite projects, this process gives a new life to a black-only tattoo of my own. Using Augmented Reality (AR) Software, I was able to animate the artwork upon viewing on a mobile device.
I first photographed my tattoo, brought it into Illustrator to be vectorized, and then animated it in After Effects. The effect was then exported into Facebook Spark AR Studio as a PNG sequence, allowing the effect to be viewed over the original tattoo through the camera of a mobile device.
